I barely had any gripes with the unit or the change in music control in my car the first day. Clicking the buttons give a nice tactile feedback, The volume knob works great, and even the voice control features were surprising very accurate. Swiping felt awesome to skip and go to the previous song. I am a Rideshare driver, and I went out and worked for a couple hours. I put my phone in it's normal position in it's car mount and went for a drive only using Car Thing to control my music. I booted it up, opened the Spotify app, synced both of them, and within 10 minutes from opening the box, I had Car Thing mounted and set up. I set up Car Thing with the CD mount, as my dashboard is a little wonky and I wanted Car Thing to be front and center on my dash.
CAR THING UPDATE
If my opinion changes, I will update this post in the future.) (This is my review for only the past 4 days, as the day I am writing this post is the 15th of February, 2022, and I received it on the 11th. I immediately opened it and went to my car to set it up. 8 days of waiting total isn't a terrible time, but it's bordering on long. Finally, on the 11th of February, 2022, Car Thing was at my doorstep.

On the 7th of February, 2022, I finally got an email after 4 days that my Car Thing was shipped.
CAR THING FREE
$79.99 for the device, $4.80 for tax, and free shipping. My interest got the best of me and I ordered one. On the 3rd of February, 2022, I got an email to buy one. It thought it would take months if I'm honest. (I was not one of the lucky ones that apparently got one for free.) I applied to be on the waitlist the same day, and then I waited.

After a little while of watching reviews and articles and getting more interested, I found the link to get on the waitlist. I was interested, but I wanted to do more research. It was brand new and they were trying to sell it for $150. The seller listed it as a "Spotify Car Thing". On the 1st of February, 2022, I was browsing Facebook Marketplace and I saw something that caught my eye. Finding Out About & Purchasing Car Thing. I love this app, and I barely have had any problems with the service, the app, or even emailing support to get my data. Ever since then, for the past 4 years, Spotify has been my main app for music, playlists, finding new music, etc. I hated it, as most people do and then finally in early 2018, I decided to give in and order a premium plan. When I first made an account, I only had a free account. My main playlist has over 3800+ songs in it. I have had a Spotify account since late 2014. First of all, a little background on my experience with Spotify as a whole.
